Description: Chromolithograph print by Spy. Depicted with a backdrop of cliffs during the time of the 2nd Boer War 1899-1902. A further satirical caricature is included in the right hand cliff depicting Stephanus Johannes Paulus "Paul" Kruger, a military adversary of Roberts, and a political adversary of the British. Kruger evaded capture by escaping to exile in Switzerland.
Stephanus Johannes Paulus "Paul" Kruger was one of the dominant political and military figures in 19th-century South Africa, and President of the South African Republic from 1883 to 1900.
